the inspiration for dear momma
in the this year of my life, i will embark on great travels, living in different worlds, learning from different communities, and experiencing different lives. dear momma is a way for me to capture the essence of my love for a place through words, images, and sounds. it is a letter of appreciation and reflection. the idea was inspired by the need i felt to profess my love to the islands. after spending sun drunk days on the beaches of aruba with my girls, i was left with love warming my body and spirit. here are the reflections:
